Patrol Division
The Patrol Division is the backbone of the police dept. At its full capacity, patrol is comprised of nineteen officers. The Patrol Division is divided into three-10 hour shifts. The Patrol division has a wide range of responsibilities including but not limited to answering calls for service, directed patrol, and traffic enforcement. The Patrol Division is in the forefront of the agency’s endeavor to reduce crime and continue to make Toccoa a safer city for everyone.
Records Division
The City of Toccoa Police Departments Records Divisions is a small but intricate part of the Police Departments. The division is open Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The division is responsible for the storage of all reports filed by this department. The division has the added responsibility for entering all reports except those that are assigned cases through the investigation division into the records management system. With the above staff the division handles all request by the public for copies of reports. The Records Division also process all open records request that are forwarded through city hall. The records division works closely with all divisions within the police department to insure a timely and accurate flow of information.
